There isn't a standard price, but change of year to year; often the cause are his abundance or scarsity and the demand of market, like in stock market.

 

Another characteristic that influence the price is size and the shape: the sizes big and with shape round and harmonics are more sought.

 

A manifestation more important is the "Sagra del tartufo bianco di San Miniato", an opportunity where discover many variety of truffle and tasting the best plate with white truffle and black tuffle of the zone.

White truffle feast of San Miniato 2011

The National feast born for exploit the famous and valueble tuber considered of many people the best, similar at white truffle of Alba.

 

During the manifestation alternate demostration, art exhibition, tasting of typical products by different regions of Italy (cold cuts, wine, oil and sweets), markets where food and culture will be close up.

 

Arrived to 41° year, the truffle feast of San Miniato have allowed to the country of be know in Italy and out of frontiers for quality of his products and his famous white truffle and black truffle.

 

The importance that white truffle have for the city have lead of a greater valorization of local territory, protecting the tartufaie (zone where born truffle) and the woods of zone; this precious and delicious food born underground, and used the roots of some trees for grow.
